Mrs. Brenda Sue Nixon, age 59, of 1007 Whiting Rd., Lavonia, former long term resident of Conyers, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at her residence.
Born July 25, 1948, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of Edna Earlene Moss and the late Frank Samuel Moss. She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her father and her husband, the late Kenneth Lee Nixon.
Survivors include her mother: a daughter: Debbie Arlene Sheets of Lavonia; sons: Samuel Wayne Nixon of Birmingham, AL, Matthew Lee Nixon of Cumming, and Kevin Jacob Nixon of Lavonia; sisters: Patricia Porter, Judy Mattingly, and Terri Staten; brother: Michael Moss; grandchildren: Nicole and Samantha Nixon, Joshua, Shaun, and Jared Sheets; and great grandchildren Cayleigh Ellard and Matti Stowe.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Thursday and 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Mirek officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington.
