Brenda Faye Cobb White Smith, age 77, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home.

She was born November 21, 1945, in Stephens County, the daughter of the late Charlie Cobb and Faye Cawthon Burdette. She managed the Hardees in Lavonia for more than 22 years. She later worked for Johnson & Johnson for several years. Mrs. Smith was a member of Price Chapel Church of God. She loved to go thrifting, whether it was at yard sales or thrift stores. But her greatest love was looking after her babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and father of her daughters: Doug White; brothers: Terry Cobb and Ken Cobb; and grandchildren: Dillon Segars, Kelsey Smith, and Alana Maxwell.

She is survived by her husband: James Smith; daughters: Angela (Lee) Johnson, Amy White, and Whitney Smith; sons: Clay (Linda) Smith and Brian (Bridgett) Smith; sisters: Jeanette Isom and Jackie (Charlie) Williams; brothers: Dan (Betty) Cobb and Ancel Burdette; grandchildren: Amanda White, Breanna (Austin) Parker, Waylon (Morgan) Phillips, Andrew Graham, Jamie King, Alison Smith, Ashley Smith, and Alex (Sky) Smith; and eleven great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. At her request, the family invites anyone that would like to join them to bring a covered dish, following the service, to Price Chapel Church of God fellowship hall to spend time and share memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Price Chapel Church of God Youth Fund.
