Mr. Malcolm Bruce Crittenden Jr., 80, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on December 10, 1942 in Elberton GA, he was the son of the late Malcolm B. Crittenden Sr. and Lorraine Shaw Crittenden. Bruce was owner/operator of Crittenden Plumbing and Electric and a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690 and Yaarab Shine Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Shirley Crittenden; one daughter: Crystal Teasley (Frankie) of Hartwell; one sister: Gloria Denton of Marietta; two granddaughters: Hillary Wilhoite (Jay) of Gainesville, Hannah Teasley of Athens; three great grandchildren: Young Wilhoite, South Wilhoite and Hunter Wilhoite. Mr. Crittenden is preceded in death by his parents and one son: Malcolm Bruce "Mal" Crittenden III.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

A memorial service celebrating Mr. Bruce Crittenden's life will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Mr. Fred Greenway and Mr. Joe Cobb Burch officiating with Masonic Rites.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
