Obituary
Mr. Burnie Noble Gibson, age 81 of 139 Benson Street, Hartwell, Ga., died Monday, April 2, 2007 at Hartwell Healthcare Center, Hartwell, Ga.
He was born September 10, 1925 in Henderson, Kentucky.He was the son of the late Burnie Noble Gibson, Sr. and the late Mary Beatrice Martin Gibson.He was a retired District Manager for the Detroit Free Press and of the Baptist faith.He served in the Merchant Marine Corps during WWII.
He is survived by, son Robert Gibson of Detroit, Michigan, daughter Sherry Hortman and son-in-Law, Fred Hortman of Hartwell and Sandra Lind of Newton, North Carolina. Grandchildren, Henry Kenneweg of Wokelond, Michigan, Brian Kenneweg of Bellevue, Washington, Michelle Lind, Lindsay Lind and Sean Lind all of Naples, Florida.
Funeral services will be held on April 3, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. from the state room of the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.The family will be at their respective homes.
