Mrs. Carol Ann Rock Barnes, 71, of Liberty Circle, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC.
Born on March 13, 1944 in Westfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence F. Rock and Nellie A. Rowe Rock Bilton.Mrs. Barnes was a retired bakery chef for Farmers Daughter Bakery and of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband: Albert W. Barnes, Sr.; three sons: Joseph W. Arel of Becket, MA, Albert W. Barnes, Jr. of Hartwell, Dale E. Barnes and his wife Melissa of Westfield, MA; four daughters: Jacquelene Arel of Hartwell, Jody LeBarron and her husband Jim of Hartwell, Tina Wooden and her husband Donald of Feeling Hills, MA and Rosanne Barnes of Springfield, MA; one brother: Carson Rock of Tampa, FL; one sister: Roxanna Burnham of Pittsfield, MA; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother: Lawrence L. Rock.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1720 Epps Bridge Road, Suite 108-383, Athens, GA 30606.
