Mrs. Dorothy Carol Adams Crenshaw, age 78, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, with her daughter by her side.

She was born May 21, 1943, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Dwight and Audrey Vickery Adams. She was a graduate of Anderson College and Tift College. She retired, after many years of service to Franklin County Schools, as a third-grade teacher at Lavonia Elementary School. Mrs. Crenshaw was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia, where she previously served as a Sunday School teacher and pianist.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years: Samuel Crenshaw; daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Keith Spears; and granddaughters: Samantha Spears and Katie Spears.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the service. At other hours the family will be at the home of Michelle and Keith Spears, 150 Annies Lane, Martin, GA 30557.
