Mrs. Carol Isom Milford, 78, of Sterling Drive, Hartwell, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 26, 1935, in Hartwell, she was a daughter of the late Lawson Isom and Minnie Hembree Isom.She was self-employed business owner and secretary. She was a very active member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church, where she also was a member of the Sunday School, choir and Young at Heart. She also was treasurer of the WMU.

Survivors include: one son: Kenneth Milford and his wife Lori of Buford; one daughter: Debbie Bentley her husband Brian of Bowersville; she was a proud and loving Meme to Victoria and Conner Bentley and loved all her grandpets; one brother: Dewey Isom of Elberton.She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold E Milford; three brothers: Kenneth Isom, Hubert Isom, and Harry Isom; three sisters: Melvia Wilson, Faye Wicker, and Eunice Harper.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home of Debbie and Brian Bentley, 123 Carrie Craft Road, Bowersville, GA.
