Mrs. Carolyn Eugene Adams Bailey, 76 of Early Drive, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her home.

Born on December 23, 1946 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Isham Adams and Earlene Hayes Adams. Mrs. Bailey was a graduate of Forrest College, a bookkeeper for the Hartwell Housing Authority and a former bookkeeper for Greer Furniture Co., Hart County Hospital and Hartwell Garment Co. She was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for many years and a former pianist.

Survivors include her husband: Don L. Bailey; two aunts: Ann Adams and Betty Little and her husband, Dr. Donald Little all of Hartwell; one brother-in-law: Wilson Bailey of Hartwell; one sister-in-law: Linda Alexander (Wilton) of Hartwell. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents; two uncles: Max Adams, Dean Adams; and one aunt: Mary Heaton.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Bailey will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Dr. Donald Little officiating.
