Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Ann Gaines Brown, 57, of 3025 New Prospect Rd., Hartwell, died Friday, January 9 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 12, 1951 in Hart County GA, she was the daughter of the late W. Fred Gaines and Carol E. Bradley Gaines.She was a quality control specialist at McCord Winn Textron of Lavonia and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, A. Greg Brown of the home; step-daughter, Andrea Adams of Hartwell; two grandchildren, Madison Carey and Eli Adams; a sister, Freddie Johnson of Anderson; four brothers, Terry Gaines and Tracy Gaines both of Hartwell and Tony Gaines and Russell Gaines both of Elberton also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roger Gaines and a sister, Tammy Gaines.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Joe Black and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.The family is at the home.
