Mrs. Carolyn Mae Grant Elgin, 60, of 180 Elgin Lane, Canon, GA, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.

Born January 16, 1948 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the Mrs. Louien Smith Lee of Canon, GA, and the late Flem C. Lee.She was retired from Springs Industries.

She is survived by:Mother; Sons, Danny Elgin and his wife of Polly of Hartwell, GA, Steven Elgin and his wife Julie, Robert Elgin and his wife Lisa, and Lamar Elgin and his wife Jennifer, all of Hartwell, GA; Daughters, Elaine Fleeman and her husband Kenneth and Tammy Kershner and her husband Donnie, all of Hartwell, GA; Brothers, Dan Lee and Wade Lee both of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Patsy Allen of Sulphur Springs, TX; 14 grandchildren, Daniel and Timothy Elgin, Candace Akins, Kimberly Akins, Stephanie Akins, Seth Fleeman, Braxton Hix, Nicki Elgin, Ashley Elgin, Nicole Elgin, Cattie Lee, Kristi Lee, Jennifer Kershner and Abigail Kershner.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Jimmy Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
