Obituary
Ms. Carolyn Jane Brown, 74, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Hart Care Center.
Born on October 16, 1946 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Rucker Brown and Nellie Thompson Brown.Carolyn was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother: Randy Brown and his fiancé Marcie Jordan of Toccoa; two nephews: Andy Brown (Ruth) of St. Simons GA, Chris Brown (Mary) of Statham GA; one great niece: Henley and two great nephews: Harry and Eli. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services for Carolyn Brown will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
