Mrs. Carolyn Ann (Edwards) Mitchell, age 72, of Martin, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born September 26, 1942, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late: Morris and Flossie (Craft) Edwards. She retired from Ross Controls and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was active in the church choir and with the WMU and the Sunshine Group.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas Mitchell of Martin; daughter & son-in-law: Angela Kay & Steve of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Evan Kay, Ryan Kay & Megan Kay.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Harvill and Rev. Edward Whitworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at other times the family will be at the home.
