Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Mamie Seymour Smith, 82, of 184 Leard St, Hartwell, died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born on March 5, 1927 in Cheraw SC, she was the daughter of the late Steve Seymour and Mamie Ray Seymour.She was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church, WMU and Fidelis SS Class.
Survivors include her son, Steven G. Smith of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathis Smith; a sister, Maggie Lee Seymour and three brothers, Obie Seymour, Jack Seymour and John Seymour.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Westbrook officiating.Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Monday, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.Memorials may be made to the Holly Springs Baptist Church WMU Missions Fund, c/o/ Beth Parten, 1976 Goldmine-Holly Springs Rd, Royston GA30662.
