Mrs. Carolyn Stovall Smith, age 79 of 903 Tucker Road, Macon GA, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 at Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon.

Born March 24, 1930 in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Claude D. Stovall and Drucilla Anderson Stovall.She was a Graduate of Jacksonville State University.She taught 30 years as an Elementary School Teacher in Clayton County, GA.

She is survived by her Husband of 59 years, John E. Smith of the home; Son, Jeff Smith and his wife Dorena of Macon, GA; Daughter, Cindy Bresee and her husband Stuart of Knoxville, TN; Sister, Virginia Jennings of Morrow, GA; Grandchildren, Sara Bresee, Alex Bresee, Kaitlin Bresee, Brittnee Smith, Tarra Smith, Brandon Smith, Nicolle Smith; Great grandson, Kayden Brock and many nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Perry Stuart Smith and a Sister, Winnie Weldon Engelbright.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
