Carree Finley

Carree Stroud Finley, age 77, of Lavonia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 4, 2026.

Born January 30, 1949, in Seneca, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Stroud and Melissa Cleo Mosley. Mrs. Finley worked for many years as a factory worker with Clark-Schwebel and later worked in the meat department at Quality Foods.

Carree enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time outdoors and tending to her flowers. She was happiest, surrounded by the people she loved and took great pride in her family.

She is survived by her husband, Darryl K. Finley; children, James (Rondal) Cothan, Paul Frady, and Jerry Frady; grandchildren, Nicole Cothran, Megan Meighen, and R.J. Meighen; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Stroud, Robert Stroud, and Paul Stroud; and sisters, Eunice Arnold, Montine Hammond, and Edna Stroud.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026, from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Tripp officiating. A Private Burial will be held at Nancy Hart Memorial Park in Hartwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the service.
