Mr. Carroll L. Johnson, 68, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Avery Place in Winterville, GA.

Born on September 18, 1953 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Claude R. Johnson and Connie Dockery Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired insurance agent working lastly for Delta Life. Mr. Johnson was a founding member of The Way Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and active Deacon. He was also a former member of the Hart County Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife: Fran Akins Johnson; two sons: Bart Johnson and Ben Johnson, both of Hartwell; daughter: Beth Martin (John) of Hartwell; brother: Larry Johnson (Gail) of Hartwell; sister: Lynda Varsallona of Anderson; and nine grandchildren: Emily, Carson, Leann, Hunter, Mason, Jason, Cameren, Nataleigh, and Keylan.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Johnson will be held Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church with Revs. Ken Buffington and Riley Shelton officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
