Cathy Dove

Ms. Cathy Lynn Dove, 68, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2025 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on December 13, 1957 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late Chandler Dove and Nobie Booth Dove. Cathy was a former seamstress at Hartwell Company and a long-time employee of the Dairy Queen of Hartwell. Cathy was also a Resident Commissioner for the Hartwell Housing Authority and a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church Baptist Church.

Cathy is survived by two nephews and numerous friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Kerry Joe Dove and Jerry L. Dove.

Cathy wished to be cremated and a service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Payne and Mr. David Brooks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church, 3636 Lavonia Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
