Mr. Charles Homer Crittendon, 66, of Harbor Gate, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on May 10, 1950 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Frank H. Crittendon and Mary Nell Eaves Crittendon.Mr. Crittendon was a retired plant manager from JP Stevens Industries with 32 years of service.He was also a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife: Joann Rudder Crittendon; three daughters: Kelly Montgomery of Rock Hill, SC, Carey Crittendon De Lucca of Greer, SC, Claudia Crittendon Mathis of Williamston, SC; six grandchildren: Charles Jesse Crittendon, Tyler Montgomery, Taylor De Lucca, Michael Gabriel Harvey, Gabriella De Lucca, Rayna Claire Harvey; one brother: Kirk Baxter Crittendon of Bath, NY and one sister: Wanda Hendricks of Hartwell. He is also survived by his best friend throughout his life Wayne McCollum.Mr. Crittendon was preceded in death by his parents; and one son: Christopher Crittendon.

A funeral mass celebrating Charles life will held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
