Mr. Charles W. Daniel, 67, of 3233 Rock Branch Road, Elberton, GA, died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born November 26, 1941 in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late Clyde W. Daniel and Homerzell Hulme Daniel. He retired from Monroe Automotive as an Inspector and was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church.He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving as a M.P. in Santo Domingo during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by Son, Nick Daniel of Elberton, GA; Daughter, Alexandria "Allie" Daniel of Elberton, GA; Sisters, Jean Little of Hartwell, GA and Joyce Moniz of Royston, GA. and a half-sister, Shannon Christian of Elberton.He was preceded in death by Parents; Wife, Mary Elizabeth Doker Daniel and a Daughter, Dawn Denise Daniel.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Ken Wright, Rev. Ed Sayer and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson SC 29621.
