Mr. Charles Terrell Elliott, 83, of Lavonia, went home to our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 1, 2020.
Born on August 13, 1937 in Lavonia, he was the son of the late Felton Oswald Elliott and Lena Jewell Walters Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a retired self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was an active member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and Lavonia Church of God for many years. Mr. Elliott was a founding member of the Rebel CB Club and active in the Georgia National Guard.
Charles was a loving father of Timothy Charles Elliott and Kelli Lanette Elliott Scott (James) of Lavonia. His grandchildren include Dustin Charles Elliott (Jessie) of Charlottesville, VA, and Clay Tillman Elliott (Sara) of Washington, DC. Great grandchildren include: River Lane Elliott. Charles is predeceased by his parents, wife - Jennie L. Elliott and his beloved dachshund, Precious. His laughter was contagious and will be profoundly missed by his friends and family.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no traditional public memorial service at this time. A service celebrating his life will be held Wednesday November 4, 2020 at 3p.m. – Lavonia City Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Smith.
