Charles Dean Garnto, age 78, of Martin, formerly of Buford, Georgia passed away Friday, February
23, 2024 at his home on Lake Hartwell.

He was born May 7, 1945, in Dublin, GA, the son of the late Charles Lindbergh Garnto and Dorothy
Couey Wright. He retired from Siemens Energy and Automation as a mechanical engineer. Charlie
was a proud American and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was a joyful, quick-witted soul,
and loved by all he encountered.

He is survived by his wife: Karen Fox Garnto; daughters: Christine Coykendall (Jeff), Jennifer Garnto
(Michael Falcitelli), and Karly Garnto Neff (Matthew); sister: Glenda Todd; brothers: Larry Garnto
and Gerald Garnto; grandchildren: Michael Nañez, Kennedy Carney, Jacob Coykendall, Dominic
Cavaliere, and Noah Falcitelli; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Crowell Brothers Funeral
Home in Buford, GA. He was cremated in accordance with his request. In lieu of flowers, the family
respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made, in Charlie's memory, to the Winship
