Mr. Charles Harry Strickland, 93, of Shenandoah Drive NE, Calhoun, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Morning Pointe of Calhoun.

Born on September 2, 1926 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Arnold R. Strickland and Mary Brown Strickland.Mr. Strickland was the retired owner/operator of OTASCO of Hartwell and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Strickland was a member of Crane Eater Community Church in Calhoun, GA, and former member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell and Doc Adams SS Class. He was also a member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690 and the Yarrab Temple.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Howard Strickland of Calhoun, GA; two sons: Harry Strickland of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, and Rev. Howard Strickland (Jenny) of Calhoun, GA; one daughter: Karen Brown (Steve) of Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren: Mark Brown, Nathaniel Strickland, Daniel Strickland; two great grandchildren: Alex Brown and Alaura Brown; and one sister-in-law: Nell Strickland of Hartwell, GA. Mr. Strickland is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Joe Strickland.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Strickland will be held Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.
