Mr. Charles Emmett "Joe" Kelley, 64, of 220 Lake Dr., Springtown TX, beloved husband, father and papa went to be with the lord on Friday, October 17, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 23, 1944 in Jacksonville FL, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Kelley and Hazel Davis Kelley.Mr. Kelley, a trucker at heart, worked with Am-Can for 29 years.He was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Kelley of the home; five sons, Tony Kelley and his wife Lisa of Stockbridge GA, Scott Kelley, Joey Kelley and his wife Jessica all of Piedmont SC, Michael Ethridge and his wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach VA and Billy Ethridge of Panama City FL; fourteen grandchildren, Brandon, Hope, Tray, Zachery, Josh, Emily, Selena, Jonathan, Keelan, Little Joe, Cassie, Carley, Kayla and Kody; three sisters, Barbara James of WV, Linda Stockman of SC and Margie Gray of IN also survive.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Kelley.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Gerry Steward officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. before the memorial service.
