Mr. Charles William "Bill" Johnston, 88, of Hartwell (formerly of Biloxi, MS), passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hart Care Center.

Born on February 22, 1930 in Greensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Franklin Johnston and Caroline Elizabeth Swenson Johnston. Mr. Johnston was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force and also retired from the Keesler Air Force Base Civil Service where he taught radar electronics.

Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Camp of Hartwell, Susan Bush of Biloxi, MS; one son: Robert Johnston of Suwanee, GA; and six grandchildren. Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his wife: Yoko Hasegawa Johnston.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. His ashes will be placed in the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
