Mr. Charles Lewis, 75, of Glendale Drive, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Hart Care Center.

Born on August 11, 1941 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Lewis and Pauline Dooley Lewis.Mr. Lewis was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Starr, SC.

Survivors include one daughter: Donna Machen of Iva; one sister: Jane Veal and her husband Royce of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Kandice Cricket Doker and her husband Adrian of Anderson, David Edward Morrison of Iva, Michael Charles Jones of Iva, and Emma Machen of Iva also survive. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Sammy Lewis and Ralph Lewis and one sister: Martha Carter.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 7, 2015, 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
