Charles Levis McGee, age 73, of Canon, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born January 7, 1947, he was the son of the late John V. and Lorene (Milford) McGee. Mr. McGee worked as a brick mason, a press printer and also worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. McGee was an avid outdoors man, who loved deer hunting, fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sherlene (Bennett) McGee; son and daughter-in-law: Chuck and Julie McGee; grandson and his wife: Allen and Lexus McGee; and great grandson: Camden McGee.
A private graveside service will be held at Stephens Memorial Gardens. Due to the current community health crisis no visitation or public service will be held at this time.
