Mr. Charles Duncan McNeill, age 60, of Martin, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born April 3, 1950 in Montezuma, GA, he was the son of the late Charles Neil McNeill and Geraldine Collins McNeill. He was the office manager of Athena Business Systems and member of the Athens Elk Lodge. Mr. McNeill was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Nanette Allwine McNeill and son, Morgan Neil McNeil both of the home; daughter: Crystal Marie McNeill of Gainesville; grandson: Cristopher Sarver of Gainesville; and sister: Mackey McNeill of Independence, KY.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jason DeFoor & Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church to lie in state beginning at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service.
