Mr. Charles Harvey Price, 76, of 319 Crystal Way, Hartwell, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at his home.

Born on May 17, 1934 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Price and Mamie Massey Price. He was retired auto mechanic and former instructor at Athens Technical College. He was a member of the VFW, NOAA, Ford Thunderbird Club and was an avid lover of car shows and antique cars. Mr. Price was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, where he enlisted in the US Navy and retired from the US Army.

Survivors include a son, Lee Price and his wife Rosalyn of Iva, SC; one daughter, Debbie Moore and her husband Marty of Abbeville, SC; three step-daughters, Darlene Carver of Iva SC, Judy Shiflet and her husband Phil of Tifton GA, and Sharon Feltman of Hartwell; five brothers, John T. Price and his wife Peggy of Hartwell, Joel Price and his wife Mary Ann of Bowman, Ben Price and his wife Wynell of Lavonia, Lloyd Price of Canon, and Buddy Price of Commerce; one sister, Linda Phillips of Royston; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and his special friend, Louise Bisso of Hartwell also survives.Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Fugate and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with full military honors.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.Flowers are optional.The family is at the home of 319 Crystal Way, Hartwell.
