Mr. Charles Lindy Rowe, 78, of Milltown Road, Hartwell, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Emory Hospital, Atlanta.

Born on June 8, 1936 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Eugene Rowe and Julia Kotal Rowe.He was a retired mechanic from Owens Corning Fiberglass.

Survivors include his son: Charles Brian Rowe, of Eastanollee; one nephew: Larry Rowe, of Hartwell; a special friend and caregiver: Mary Simpson of Eastanollee. Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: James Rowe.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105
