Charles Phil Weaver, age 81, of Canon, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born October 3, 1940, in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Littie Bell Pierce Weaver. He retired from the Trogdon Furniture Company. He was a lifelong farmer and loved animals. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Weaver was a member of New Franklin Christian Church.

He is survived by his brother: Fred Weaver of Canon; sister: Angie Weaver Peterson (Chad) of Martin; nieces: Annette Boling (Tim), Amanda Lunsford (Erik), Renee Smith, and Libby Terrell; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Bobby Weaver; sister: Mary Weller; sister-in-law: Evelyn Weaver; brother-in-law: Darrell Weller; nephew: Kevin Pruitt; and niece: Lori Weaver.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Burial will follow in New Franklin Christian Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bailee Boling, Brandon Boling, Brett Boling, Tim Boling, Erik Lunsford, and Jakob Lunsford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
