Obituary
Mr. Charles Dennis Weldon, 79, formerly of Lavonia, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Born in Nashville, TN, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1967.He retired in 1993 as an Art Teacher at Bay Point Middle School.During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, Dennis "Frank" Weldon of Austin, TX; a daughter, Lucy Weldon Brown of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Ann Adams of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Axel Way Weldon, Frederick Dennis Brown, and Jack Edward Brown.
Mr. Weldon's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes buried next to his wife.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Lavonia City Cemetery.
