Mr. Charles Earl "Charlie" Hancock, 57, of Page Road, Hartwell, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home.

Born on December 11, 1956 in Dallas TX, he was the son of the late Charles William Hancock and Evelyn Joan Moody Yates.He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Erlene Freeman Hancock; two sons, Charles Earl Freeman and William Reece Hancock both of Hartwell; two daughters, Amanda Anderson of Denton TX and Ashley Roxanne Hancock of Hartwell; two brothers, Leroy Hancock of Gun Barrel City TX and Jack Venn of Box Springs TX; a sister, Judy Blake of Dallas TX and eight grandchildren.Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks and Mr. Shem McDowell officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m... The family are at the home.
