Charlotte Marie Cannon Alewine, age 83, of Toccoa, formerly of Canon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Toccoa.

Born on February 14, 1941, in Royston, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Jack and Ida Ree Spears Canon. She dedicated many years of her life working as a seamstress at Carwood Manufacturing before retiring. Charlotte was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her loving son, Mark Ray Alewine; and loving daughter, Sherry Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Guy C. Alewine, Jr., and her daughter Sheila C. Alewine.

In accordance with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation, and no formal services are planned at this time.
