Mr. Christopher James "Chris" Haney, 59, of Dewy Rose, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens.

Born on November 23, 1964 in Elberton GA, he was the son of Annette Rowland Haney and the late James Haskell Haney.  Chris was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Bowman.

Survivors include his mother: Annette R. Haney of Dewy Rose; a son: Justin Haney (Elizabeth) of Canon; two daughters: Christy Amos of Hartwell and Amber Moon (Eric) of Royston; a sister: Tracie Smith (Walt) of Dewy Rose; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.  Chris was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter: Maliha Lynn Haney.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Chris Haney will be Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Leon Pierce officiating.  Burial will be in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman.
