Mr. Christopher Hamilton "Chris" Wallace, 28, of 2011 Coldwater Rd., Elberton, died Friday, October 24, 2008 in Elbert Co. GA

Born on March 21, 1980 in Charleston SC, Chris was a 1998 graduate of Hart County High School.He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Health and Physical Education.He was a teacher at Hart County Academy and was voted Hart County Teacher of the Year for 2008. He was a farmer and a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Katherine Harritos Wallace of the home; parents: George H. Wallace and Claire Cheek Wallace of Elberton; a brother: Caleb Wallace of Elberton and maternal grandmother: Ann Cheek of Bowersville also survives.Chris was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: James R. Wallace and Suzanna George Wallace and maternal grandfather: Hubert "Bud" Cheek.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Kring officiating.A private graveside service will be held at the Wallace Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.Flowers optional; memorials may be made to the Chris Wallace Memorial Fund C/O Pinnacle Bank.This fund will be sent to an organization to help fight acute diseases.
