Mrs. Christine Anna Gray Campbell, 70, of 21 Melody Lane, Hartwell, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at her home.
Born on December 11, 1941 in McRae, GA, she is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Yawn Gray and the late Hugh Gray, Sr.She was retired from Michelin where she worked as a secretary for many years and was also a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan, AL.
Survivors include her mother; her husband, William W. Campbell; one daughter: Crystal Stamps Tallent of Hartwell; one step daughter: Dorothy C. Crossly of Pelzer, SC; one stepson: Billy Campbell of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, Hugh Gray, Jr. of Hartwell, Joe Gray of Beaumont, TX, and Sam Gray of Hartwell; and one sister, Margaret Crossly of Hartwell. Six Grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her father; and one son, Ricky Stamps.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating.Burial will follow in the Greenville Memorial Gardens in Greenville, SC.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that special memorials be made out to the Shriner'sChildren's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC29605.The family is at the home of Randy & Crystal Tallent, 21 Melody Lane, Hartwell,GA.
