Obituary
Mrs. Christine Tate Kay, age 66, of Martin, formerly of Flowery Branch, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born February 21, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of Barbara (Burnette) Jones and the late George Archie Tate; and niece to the late William Burnette. She dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a registered nurse with Crossroads Hospice prior to retirement. Mrs. Kay was of the Lutheran faith. In addition to her father and uncle, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter: Sheila Elliott.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: James "Doyle" Kay; daughter and son-in-law: Ann and Roy Hall; son and daughter-in-law: Adam and Jessica Roth; stepson: Darryl Kay; brother: Stewart Tate; grandchildren: Elijah, Addison, and Aiden Roth; step-grandchildren: Morgan, Dylan, Dana, and Dustin Kay, Brad Dunn and Trey Elliott; and great-grandchild: Jazen Johnpaul Porter.
She was cremated in accordance with her request. The family will plan a memorial service in Jacksonville, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
