Christopher Milchen

Mr. Christopher Paul “Chris” Milchen, 41, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Athens, GA.

Born on November 26, 1984, in Stockton, CA, he was the son of Karl David Milchen and Mary Ellen Reichert Corwin. Mr. Milchen was an automotive mechanic and a car enthusiast. He also loved music and played guitar.

Survivors include his father: Karl Milchen of Sacramento CA; his mother, Mary Ellen Corwin and his step father, Michael Corwin of Hartwell; paternal grandparents: Nora Milchen of Granite Bay, CA, and Carl Milchen of Sisters, OR; and his paternal step-grandmother: Kathy Sbragia of Hartwell.

Mr. Milchen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Paul & Eleanor Reichert; and his paternal step-grandfather: Robert Sbragia.

It was Mr. Milchen’s wishes to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at later date by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebrate Recovery c/o Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
