Sylvia "Cindy" (Maxwell) Harris, age 70, of Canon, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born June 12, 1953 in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edwin "Chuck" Maxwell and Bonnie (Herring) Maxwell. She and her husband Lee owned and operated a van conversion business. She also worked for Milliken in Martin and AutoZone Warehouse. Mrs. Harris was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Oscar "Lee" Harris, Jr.; and a daughter: Christy Harris Fleeman.

She is survived by daughters: Beth Harris of Lavonia and Brittany Harris of Canon; grandchildren: Cody Fleeman, Landon McGee and Kennedy McCullough; and her brother & sister-in-law: Wayne & Angie Maxwell of Canon.

A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations to be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 250 Pleasant Grove Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
