Mr. Claude Durwin Temple, 74, of 654 Old Hwy 29, Hartwell, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his home.
Born on September 12, 1938 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Arthur H. Temple and Willie Mae Stovall Temple.He was a retired machine operator for Monroe Auto Equipment Company and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Chad Temple of Hartwell; a daughter, Angela Standridge and her husband Tron of Hartwell; a brother, Gerald Temple and his wife Mildred of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Holly Smith and her husband Chris, Zach Marcengill; and one great-grandchild, Lauren Smith.Mr. Temple was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Bower Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Rev. Ray Black officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night.The family is at the home of Angela and Tron Standridge, 1544 Old Hwy 29, Hartwell.
