Obituary
Claudine McCurley Mauldin, 97, of the Providence community of Hart County, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Habersham Home East Nursing Home in Demorest.
Born December 22, 1922 in Reed Creek Community of Hart County, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Sula Sanders McCurley. She was a homemaker and worked for Bell Craft Industries as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Silas Barto Mauldin and a son Thomas Douglas Mauldin and a great grandson: Franklin Peacock. She is survived by sons: William Franklin Mauldin and Silas Terry Mauldin and by daughters: Mary Sue Wilbanks and Barbara Ann Langford. In addition she is survived by daughters-in-law: Carol Mauldin and Jan Mauldin and son-in-law: Calvin Wilbanks and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by 12 grandchildren: Amylyn Mauldin Brennan, Ritch Wilbanks, Andrea Mauldin Holland, Jennifer Mauldin Peacock, Paige Wilbanks Spivey, Ben Mauldin, Jeremy Mauldin, Laura Mauldin Skates, Britton Mauldin Briley, Kate Langford Johnson, Claudia Langford Brown and Ava Langford.
She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having formal services at this time. They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks. Also, anyone can leave their condolences and best wishes on the Tribute page.
A memorial service for Claudine will be planned for a later date when everyone can come together to share time with the family at Providence United Methodist Church where she was a long-time member and well known for her peanut butter cookies and banana bread.
A private family graveside service will be held at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
