Mr. Clyde "C.L." King, 82, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born on July 23, 1935 in Townville SC, he was the son of the late Winston King and Clyde Sammons King.Mr. King was a retired textile worker, a member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge # 690, Yarrab Temple Shrine and the Mt. Olivet Church of God.

Survivors include his wife: Dorothy Tallent Harris King; a step-son: Roger Harris and his wife Andi of Hartwell; a niece: Sue Hunnicutt and her husband Wesley; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. King was preceded in death by step-sons: Billy Harris, John Harris, Dennis Harris and Jerry Harris and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating and Masonic Rites at the conclusion of the service.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.The family will be at their respective homes.
