Colin Glen Pickren, age 72, of Martin, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home.
Born February 16, 1949 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Alva and Kathryn (Carter) Pickren. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Mr. Pickren worked as a truck driver for Hemphill & Son Trucking. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Pamela Bartlett
He is survived by his wife: Adele Marie (Moore) Pickren; children: James Eric Acker, Drema Lee Marks, Brandi Lynn Koch, Tina Pickren, Lisa Pickren & Cari Pickren; grandchildren: Taylor Rose Bortz, Skyler Rae Marks, Mason Thomas Marks, Brinlee Marie Koch; sister: Carole Pierce; brother: Mark Pickren.
The funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Mark Pickren officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m.
