Connie Spivey Deal

Mrs. Connie Spivey Deal, 84, of Hartwell, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her home.

Born on June 29, 1941, in Clarkston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Fred Spivey and Ruth Johnson Spivey. Mrs. Deal attended Georgia State University, and she was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: James H. “Jim” Deal of Hartwell; son: Scott Deal & Kelly of Sebastopol, CA; daughter: Kelly Tobin & Kevin of Rome, GA; six grandchildren: Mackenzie Tobin, Maddie Tobin, Sarah Tobin, Oliver Deal, Dylan Deal, and Jacob Deal; one sister: Mary Bryan & Danny; and one daughter-in-law: Lori Deal of Oregon, OR. Mrs. Deal is preceded in death by her parents and one son: Tod Deal.

Mrs. Connie Deal’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Flowers are optional, and memorial may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
