Mrs. Connie Gail Bailey Wilson, 63, of 1712 Mt. Olivet Rd, Hartwell, died Sunday, December 5 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 22, 1947 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late Crate Robert Bailey and Amanda Hughes Bailey.She was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy L. Wilson; a son, Tommy Shan Wilson of Lavonia; three sisters, Frances Smith of Anderson, Elizabeth Kidd of Lavonia and Shirley Worley of Elberton; a grandson, John Owen de Graaff-Wilson also survives.Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, TSgt Cindy Ruth Wilson; a sister, Ruby Bowers and two brothers, Owen Bailey and Charles Bailey
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Black, Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home of 1712 Mt. Olivet Rd, Hartwell.
