Mrs. Cora Jane Eanes Dillon, age 92, of 1182 Elrod Ferry Road, Hartwell, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at her residence.

Born September 6, 1914 in Riceville, VA she was the daughter of the late Joel Lee Eanes and Edna Ann Betterton Eanes. She was a graduate of National Business College in Roanoke, VA and retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Company as a Field Engineer in Gas-Electric Utilities. She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and theHappy Harts. She was acharter member of the Meadowlane Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana and was an active member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by: daughters, Mary Jacqueline Vezeau of Hartwell, Ga., Phyllis Anne Dunning of Highland, IN and Judith Lynn Dillon of Valparaiso, IN. Ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive. She was the last surviving member of thirteen children.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Dr. Dan Vincent and Rev. Tommy Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
