Mr. Thomas Cornelius Brown, 93, of Hart Terrace, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA.

Born on July 25, 1924 in Danielsville, GA he was the son of the late James Fletcher Brown and Mary Frances Wilson Brown.Mr. Brown was a retired machine operator for the Hartwell Company and a member of the Liberty Congregational Church.

Survivors include one brother: Paul Brown and his wife Ann of Athens; one sister: Ruth Lovern of Jasper, GA; and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Brown was preceded in death by one brother: James Fred Brown; two sisters: Ora Belle Robinson and Gladys Seymour.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Billy Pittman officiating.Entombment will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service.The family will be at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Liberty Congregational Church, 1845 Liberty Church Road, Dewy Rose, GA 30634 or the charity of ones choice.
