Obituary

Mrs. Coulene Crowder Clark, age 75, wife of Winston Clark, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Hart County Hospital.
Born July 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh & Esie Mae (Williams) Crowder. She was a Past Matron of the Lavonia Chapter #377 Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5897. Mrs. Clark was a coordinator for the Lavonia Christmas Parade for over 20 years. She was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughters: Jamie Lewis and Wanda Richardson; son-in-law: Tony Lewis; and granddaughter: Wendy Richardson Lewis.
She is survived by her husband: Winston Clark of Lavonia; daughter: Marsha Wells of Burlington, KY; sister: Virginia Barger of Lawrenceville; grandchildren: Allison & Ryan Owensby of Lavonia, Pvt. Michael Lewis serving in Korea, Chris Wells of Burlington, KY, & Mickey Richardson of Martin; and great-grandchildren: Katie Rose, Riley, & Lily Owensby, Myca Ray Richardson, Cody Lewis, Ivy Wells, & Makayla Richardson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
