Christine (Harris) "Cricket" Hill, age 85, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at The Veranda At Carnesville.
Born October 7, 1933 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ovialeen (Hunnicutt) Harris. She was a graduate of Lavonia High School and worked at Lavonia Manufacturing before retiring from Franklin Industries. Mrs. Hill attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John Henry "Johnny" Hill, sisters: Mary Lou Baugus and Mozelle Groves; and brothers: Walter Harris and Henry Harris.
She is survived by daughter & son-in-law: Kathy & Tim Elrod; granddaughter & grandson-in-law: Amy & Brandon Crunkleton; great granddaughters: Gracie Rae & Caraline Crunkleton; brother: Lester Harris, Jr; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Brandon Crunkleton officiating. A private burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
