Obituary
Miss Curtis Evelyn Cantrell, 81, of Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, died peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on May 2, 1932 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Starling A. Cantrell and Nancy Lou Currie Bailey Cantrell.She was a retired elementary school teacher, where she taught at Calvary Christian School in Texas and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Hartwell.
Survivors include her two sisters: Clara Cantrell and Henrietta Cantrell both of Hartwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.Miss Cantrell was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Blanche C. Carpenter and Margie L. Cantrell and three brothers: Max Cantrell, Olin Cantrell and Holden Cantrell.
Graveside services will be Friday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Curtis King officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to defray funeral expenses.
